Office Hours
Monday through Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Monday through Thursday: 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Please Note: the office is closed Friday afternoons.
Saturday appointments are with physicians only, and usually (though not always) alternate Saturdays for each doctor.
Dr. Ribot performs elective surgeries on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings, and does not see office patients Tuesday or Thursday mornings.
Dr. Kang performs elective surgeries on Tuesday mornings, but currently does have some appointment availability some Tuesdays.
Each physician can accomodate, with enough advance notice, and subject to availability of Operating Room time at Cartersville Medical Center, surgeries on days other than their designated "O.R." days. This requires special arrangement with the involved surgeon and the office staff.
Office hours are by appointment only. Please check with our staff regarding availability of each practitioner, as earliest appointment for non-emergency visits can sometimes vary, depending on hospital emergencies, type of appointment (New Patient, Repeat Annual Visit, Established Patient New OB Visit, etc.) as well as travel and other personal commitments.
New OB appointments (first time patient is seen for that particular pregnancy) are usually scheduled so as to fall between the 7th and 12th completed weeks of pregnancy, counting from the first day of the patient's last menstrual period. This is so that the most accurate dating of the pregnancy can be achieved and a reliable due date assigned at the first visit.
Every effort will be made to accomodate each visit according to medical urgency/priority. Patients will be worked in on short or no notice as needed for appropriate reasons, such as bleeding in pregnancy, infertility related procedures, suspected labor, or prior arrangement with a practitioner.
The office is usually closed on major holidays, including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
After office hours, a physician is always available by calling the answering service, reachable through the main office number, (770) 386-4824. The operator can send the on call physician or midwife a text message. If there is no response within 15-20 minutes (the physician or midwife taking the first call may be tied up in a delivery, for example), one may then call the hospital's main switchboard at (770) 382-1530 and ask the operator to page us, or call the Labor and Delivery suite directly at (770) 606-2100.
