  • 1988-1991- Staff nurse/charge nurse in labor & delivery and newborn nursery (part time) at Emory Cartersville Medical Center
  • 1984-1988 - Sole office nurse at Cartersville ObGyn Associates, in solo ObGyn practice with Fareed Z. Kadum, M.D. , assisting with all office procedures, provided teaching in contraception, prenatal care, labor & delivery, and breast self-examination.
  • 1981-1984 - Staff nurse, labor & delivery and newborn nursery at Sam Howell Memorial Hospital/Humana Hospital, Cartersville, GA
  • 1973-1980 - Navy Nurse Corps
  • Naval Regional Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia; staff nurse in general and specialty surgery, medical unit and high risk obstetrical unit. Relief house nursing supervisor.
  • Naval Aerospace Regional Medical Center, Pensacola, Florida; charge nurse of labor & delivery, charge nurse of 19 bed mixed medical/surgical pediatric unit. Weekend house nursing supervisor.
  • 1982-present: Established Cartersville's first Prepared Childbirth Classes.
