Meet Dr. Patterson

Dr. Anne PattersonDr. C. Anne Patterson has remained a Board-Certified expert in maternal fetal medicine (MFM) in Atlanta for over 25 years, positively impacting mothers and their babies during often difficult circumstances in pregnancy.

Originally, Dr. Patterson obtained her Bachelor and Master's Degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech. She went on to work at NASA but later decided to go on the pursue a career in medicine. She completed her MD, OB/GYN residency and MFM fellowship all at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. During this time, she also studied fetal physiology at Oxford University in England. For the past twenty years, she has been in private practice and delivered at Northside Hospital, one of the premier obstetrical hospitals in the US, delivering over 17K births/year. She is a member of several professional organizations, including AIUM, SMFM, and serves as an advisor to the GA OB/GYN Society and as a liaison to the GA Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Currently, she and her team are focused on bringing maternal-fetal expertise to rural and urban areas via telemedicine in government clinics, OB private practices and hospitals. Dr. Patterson co-founded Women's Telehealth four years ago. Since that time, she has completed over 10,000 MFM telemedicine encounters across multiple states in the US and internationally. She has been a national speaker at the American Telemedicine Association, was the most recent past President of the Georgia OB/GYN Society, nominated for a Healthcare Heroes award and been featured on NPR. She remains committed to using telemedicine as a tool to extend high risk OB medical services to reach and positively affect the pregnancy outcomes of women.
